Memorial services for L.A. ‘Bud’ DeMasters, 81, of Temple will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Temple with the Rev. Martin Knox officiating.

Mr. DeMasters died Sunday, May 25, in a Temple hospital.

He was born Oct. 5, 1926, to Andrew Amos DeMasters and Clara Ella Johnson DeMasters in Ranger. He married Yvonne Crocker on Jan. 15, 1944. He worked for Mid America Pipeline Company, which later became Seminole Pipeline. He moved to Temple 2 1/2 years ago from Middle Lakes at Marble Falls. A son, Rodney Allen DeMasters, preceded him in death in 2001.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years of Temple; a son, Kenneth Dale DeMasters of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of arrangements.
