Mrs. Metcalfe died Monday in Temple.
She was born Oct. 11, 1938, in Buckeye, Ariz. She was a retired colonel in the U.S. Army Nursing Corp., having served 26 years.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Metcalfe; two daughters, Jessie and Kerrie Metcalfe; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Killeen.
