Services for James M. Brown, 75, of Salado will be held at a later date.
Mr. Brown died Friday, June 6, in a local nursing home.
He was born March 22, 1933, to Harlee Lee and Oleda Moore Brown in Addison. He was raised and educated in Fort Worth. He graduated for Fort Worth Polytechnic High School and attended TCU. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He married Doris Henson on Jan. 21, 1960, in Oklahoma. He owned and operated James Brown Low Cost Auto Insurance Co. in Temple and Belton for several years, retiring in 2000. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Fort Worth. He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years on April 8, 2001, and a son, Haldon Lee Brown on Oct. 22, 2006.
Survived by a daughter, Brenda Stewart of Salado.
