Services for Roberto Gutierrez Jr., 35, of Temple will be 2 p.m. Monday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with the Rev. Billy Ray Crow officiating.

Burial will be in Reed’s Lake Cemetery.

Mr. Gutierrez died Friday, June 6, near Sweetwater.

He was born Nov. 14, 1972, to Roberto and Maria Riviera Gutierrez in Houston. He graduated from Pasadena High School in 1990. He served in the U.S. Army. 1996-2000. He had been a resident of the Temple-Killeen area since his honorable discharge from the army. He married Nichole Whatley in Temple on May 10, 2005.

He was employed with Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.

Survivors include his wife of Temple; a daughter Ariela Marie Gutierrez of Temple; three sisters, Liz Torres of San Antonio, and Maribel Gutierrez and Janie Martinez, both of Los Fresnos; and mother, of Los Fresnos.

Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
