Services for Ruth Jane Butler, 74, of Temple will be 10 a.m. Monday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with the Rev. Harlan Haines officiating.
Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple.
Mrs. Butler died Thursday, June 19, at her home.
She was born April 27, 1934, to Joseph William Hejl and Frances Ondrasek Hejl in Temple. She was a lifelong resident of Bell County. She married Paul Butler in Temple on Aug. 11, 1961. Prior to retiring in 1993, she was employed as a medical secretary with the Temple Veterans Center and had worked for the U.S. Soil Conservation Service. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Temple.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years of Temple; two sons, Steve Lane of Troy and Mark Butler of Atlanta, Ga.; a daughter, Patti Branscum of Temple; a brother, Edward Hejl of El Paso; four sisters, Frances McNeil of Buckholts, Martha Dubcak of Zabcikville, Georgia Ellis of Troy and Virginia McHan of Temple; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
