Police responded to a residence in the 2800 block of Eagle Road in reference to a burglary of a habitation that occurred at about 5 a.m. on Sunday. Two adults and a child had been tied up after four black males forcibly entered the house, according to a press release from Sgt. Brad Hunt of the Temple Police Department.
At least one of the suspects was armed with a handgun, and assaulted the adult male in the house, according to Hunt.
“He was struck a couple of times in the head with a pistol,” Hunt said.
The injured man was transported to Scott & White Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released. No one else was injured.
The robbers are identified as being in their mid- to late-20s, according to the press release. They reportedly fled the scene on foot carrying a few small valuables.
Police have not been able to identify the robbers, Hunt said.
