CAMERON — Jose Valdez Becerra, 75, of Cameron died Wednesday, July 2, at his home.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Monica Catholic Church with the Rev. Chris Coleman officiating.

Burial will follow in Hernandez Cemetery.

Mr. Becerra was born March 19, 1933, to Silverio and Margarita Valdez Becerra in Queretero, Mexico. He was Catholic.

Survivors include his wife, Cipriana Ruiz Becerra of Cameron; seven sons, Jose Luis Becerra, Jesus Becerra, Antonio Becerra, Victor Becerra, Fancisco Becerra and Sergio Becerra, all of Mexico, and Ruben Becerra of Cameron; three daughters, Martha Juarez, Leticia Montoya and Hortencia Vasquez, all of Mexico; two brothers, Jesus Becerra and Fortino Becerra, both of Mexico; four sisters, Carmen Becerra, Guadalupe Becerra, Audelia Becerra and Efigoria Becerra, all of Mexico; 20 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

A rosary will be 7 p.m. today at Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron.
