Trumor M. Mulkey, 94, of Temple, formerly of Spartanburg, S.C., died Thursday, July 3, at her home.

Services will be 4 p.m. Sunday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home of Temple.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 10, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Spartanburg, S.C. with the Rev. Mike McGee officiating.

Mrs. Mulkey was born Jan. 4, 1914, to Hayne William and Nancy Adeline Lanford McCarley in Walnut Grove, S.C. She graduated from Woodruff High School. She married George H. Mulkey on Aug. 21, 1941. She owned and operated restaurants in South Carolina for many years and worked at Smith’s Economy Drug Store in Spartanburg for 19 years, retiring in 1989. She was a charter member of Morningside Baptist Church in Spartanburg, where she was active in WMU, sang in the choir and taught the 12-year-old girls’ Sunday school class. She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years on Oct. 9, 1966.

Survivors include a daughter, Dianne Arwood of Temple; a sister, Harriett Scruggs of Morrow, Ohio; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
