Mrs. Rena Causey, 88, of Temple died Saturday, July 5, in a Temple hospital.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Taylor’s Valley Baptist Church in Temple with the Rev. Larry Givens officiating.

Burial will follow in Moffat Cemetery.

Mrs. Causey was born Feb. 20, 1920, to Luther and Inez Crump Grizzle in Crosbyton. She married W.H. Causey in Spur on Nov. 11, 1939. They lived in Brownwood, 1957 – 1964, where her husband pastored Belle Plain Baptist Church. They moved to Temple in 1964, where he pastored Heights Baptist Church 1964-1974. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years; and a son, George Causey, both in 1995.

Survivors include a son, Larry Causey of Temple; a daughter, Loretta Bullion of Brownwood; a brother, Clyde Grizzle of California; a sister, Jean Causey of Oregon; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Taylor’s Valley Baptist Church, 2497 West FM 93, Temple, Texas 76502.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home of Temple.
