HARKER HEIGHTS — Private services for Grace Aline Bartlett Hilgen, 90, of Harker Heights will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Hilgen died Thursday, July 3, at her home.
She was born June 5, 1918, to George M. and Grace E. Bartlett in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. She graduated from New Haven High School in Connecticut and attended Stone Business College. She worked for the Department of Justice and Department of the Interior in Washington, D.C., for Army Map Service Corps of Engineers; San Antonio Air Material Area at Kelly AFB; and later Headquarters 4th Army and 5th Army Surgeon’s Office in San Antonio, where she retired after more than 32 years of service with the U.S. government.
Survivors include a daughter, District Judge Martha J. Trudo of Harker Heights; two brothers, Ralph Bartlett of Fort Myers, Fla., and Ted Bartlett of Lincoln, N.H.; a sister, Beverly Heffernan of Guilford, Conn.; three granddaughters, and four great-grandchildren.
Heritage Funeral Home of Harker Heights is in charge of arrangements.
