BELTON — Services for Datha Barrett Sager, 86, of Aurora, Colo., formerly of Belton, will be 10 a.m. Monday in North Belton Cemetery with the Rev. John Witte officiating.
She died Sunday, June 22, in Colorado.
She was born May 24, 1922, to George and Annalou Barrett. She grew up in the Latch community and later moved to Belton. She began her career at Fort Hood Army Hospital in Killeen and later transferred to Fitzsimmons Army Hospital in Denver. At Fitzsimmons, she received many awards for superior and outstanding performance and also received a monetary award for making a suggestion that not only saved the hospital money, but time as well. She retired in 1978 after 35 years of service. She served as a delegate for the Democratic Party. She was active in the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association, serving as president and vice president.
Survivors include her uncle and aunt, Joe and Nora Dean Guthrie of Belton.
Dossman Funeral Home of Belton is in charge of arrangements.
