Private family services for Jerald “Jerry” Reeves, 64, of Belton will be held at a later date.
He died Wednesday, July 8, in a Temple hospital.
He was born May 31, 1944, to Elbert B. and Eula Dean Simms Reeves in Oklahoma City. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in church music from Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Okla. He moved to California in 1966, and worked for Humphrey’s Leather Goods for many years. He became a licensed counselor focusing on domestic violence counseling. He moved to Central Texas in 2001.
Survivors include his brother, Larry Reeves of Belton.
