Services for Ammie Daughty Mayse Nealy, 99, of Temple will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Davilla Baptist Church in Davilla with the Rev. Henry Williams officiating.
Burial will follow in Davilla Cemetery.
She died Wednesday, July 9, in a Temple hospital.
She was born Sept. 23, 1908, to Arline Davis Mayse and Ell Mayse in Davilla. She attended school and completed the highest level of education provided by the Davilla School District. In 1926, she married Elmo “BoLee” Nealy. She was a member of Friendship Christian Church, serving as Sunday school teacher, choir soloist, president of the Disciples of Women Missionary of Davilla, church superintendent, elder of the church and member of Christian Prayer Band of Davilla. She was an active member of the Eastern Star Chapter of Rogers. She was preceded in death by her husband; four stepchildren; and several grandchildren.
Survivors include five sons, Elmo “Sunny Boy” Nealy Jr. of Milwaukee, Ell C. Nealy and James E. Nealy, both of Davilla, Donald Nealy of Temple and Timothy A. Nealy of Dallas; four daughters, Ruby Lee Harris, Margretter Nealy and Evelyne A Nealy-Walker, all of Temple, and Joyce Ann Williams of Milwaukee; 62 grandchildren; and more than 56 great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, great-great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-great-grandchildren.
Public viewing will be noon to 6 p.m. Saturday at Hornsby-Murcherson Funeral Home in Temple.
Visitation will be 5-6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
The body will be at the church one hour prior to services on Sunday.
