Robert C. Tully Jr.

BELTON — Services for Robert Clyde Tully Jr., 62, of Lago Vista, formerly of Belton will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Lakeview Baptist Church in Belton.

Burial will be in the Land Cemetery in Jarrell.

Mr. Tully died Tuesday, July 22, at his residence.

He was born Mar. 18, 1946, in Houston to Clyde and Dorothy Tully. He graduated in 1964 from Spring Branch High of Houston, graduated from the University of Houston with a bachelor’s degree in technology in 1974. He was elected the director of the Houston Jaycees in 1975, Outstanding Young Men of America for 1977 in recognition of professional achievement, superior leadership ability and exceptional service to the community. He was also awarded the Official Register of Outstanding Americans of Southern Baptist Leaders 1985-1986. Served as deacon of Jonestown Baptist Church in Jonestown and at Travis Oaks Baptist Church in Lago Vista. He was ordained Baptist pastor and deacon at Lakeview Baptist Church, interim preacher at an Assisted Living Center in Temple, served as an EMS Respondent and Fire Chief and Firefighter volunteer for Lago Vista, worked for Texas Instruments for more than 20 years retiring in 1999.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Lee Tully of Lago Vista; two sons, Michael Tully and Jimmy Tully, both of Lago Vista; two daughters, Angie Marchitto of Hutto and Lisa Kirk of Liberty Hill; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. Thursday prior to the service.

Arrangements are being handled by Heartfield Funeral Home in Belton.
