WACO — Graveside services for Merle Wade Young, 84, of Waco will be 10 a.m. Friday in Waco Memorial Park Cemetery with Jimmy Sansom and Christie Robbins officiating.
He died Tuesday, July 22, in Woodway.
He was born Oct. 25, 1923, in Killeen. He served in the U.S. Navy for 10 years during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Civil Service Department in Fort Hood in 1974. He was a member of Sparks United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Jeneta Young of Waco; two daughters, Donna Hughlett of Lorena and Debbie Burton of Waco; a sister, Tomilene Klipstine of Kerrville; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Bellmead Funeral Home in Waco.
