COPPERAS COVE — Graveside services for Robert Roland Kessler, 83, of Copperas Cove will be 11 a.m. Monday in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen with the Rev. Thomas Edwards officiating.

Mr. Kessler died Thursday, July 31, in a Lampasas hospital.

He was born Oct. 10, 1924, to William and Sophia Bremmer Kessler in Columbus, Ohio. He married Sylvia Evangeline Wears on June 9, 1946, in Columbus, Ohio. He was a welder and a Protestant. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He was a member of the Lithopolis, Ohio Masonic Lodge No. 0169.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years of Copperas Cove; a son, Rickey Kessler of Bradenton, Fla.; two daughters, Christina Dangerfield of Kempner and Lisa Griffin of Celina; a sister, Frances Herrschaft of Maitland, Fla.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Sheppard Funeral Home in Copperas Cove is in charge of arrangements.
