Mrs. Jones was born Dec. 20, 1958, to Ed W. and Dorothy J. Porter in Chandler, Ariz. She grew up and attended many schools in Germany and the U.S., but graduated from Copperas Cove High School in 1977. She was a software engineer and served our country in Iraq for a year as a civilian contractor supporting the 1st Cavalry Division.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby Jones of Pidcoke; a son, Brian Mullins of Copperas Cove; a daughter, Mindy Munoz of Montgomery; a brother, Edward Porter of Georgetown; her mother of Copperas Cove; her grandmother, Elsie Northup of Waterloo, N.Y.; and a granddaughter.
