The body was cremated.
Mrs. Hooton died Monday, June 30, in a Killeen hospital.
She was born Nov. 29, 1956, to James Young and Benita Lee Stout Young Levinson in Shirley, Mass. She married Keith M. Hooton on Dec. 4, 2000, in Gatesville. She was a Baptist. She worked as a cashier and a clerk in fast food service.
Survivors include her husband of Copperas Cove; two sons, Logan Scott Kelly of Copperas Cove and Kyle C. Hooton of Shelbyville, Ind.; five daughters, Trisha Lewis of Killeen, Kriste Kelly of Copperas Cove, Tara Marie Schoenfeld of Libertyville, Ill., Kara Lynn Rominski of DeKalb, Ill., and Tanya Maureen Hooton of Madrid, Spain; two brothers, Alton Young of Colorado and Michael Paul Young of Zionsville, Ind.; her fathers, James Young of Cookeville, Tenn., and Sam Levinson of Copperas Cove; and four grandchildren.
