LAMPASAS — Services for Beatrice Casbeer Ellis, 101, of Lampasas will be 3 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Lampasas with the Rev. Gene Tyson officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas.
Mrs. Ellis died Sunday, August 3, in a Lampasas hospital.
She was born Dec. 9, 1906, in Lampasas to Henry Bittick Casbeer and Alice Susan Fletcher Casbeer. She married Everett Ellis in 1945 in Stamford. She studied music at Baylor College (now University of Mary Hardin Baylor) in Belton. She also studied music at the Washington Conservatory in Washington D.C., and at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music at Cincinnati, Ohio. She taught piano for over 50 years, and had been a member of 1st United Methodist Church in Lampasas, where she served as church instrumentalist. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the National Guild of Piano Teachers.
Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Thursday.
Arrangements are being handled by Sneed Funeral Chapel of Lampasas.
