GEORGETOWN — Services for Bruce Adkins, 84, of Georgetown will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Greathouse Cemetery near Temple.

Mr. Adkins died Sunday, August 3, in a Temple hospital.

He was born June 1, 1924 in Dupo, Ill. to Bruce and Zella Pearl Crabtree Adkins. He owned “ Adkins Architectural Antiques” in Houston for many years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the American Legion. He married Judy Fleming in 1985 in Georgetown and they were members of Crestview Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Dennis Adkins and Dwayne Adkins.

Survivors include his wife of Georgetown; a daughter, Cheryl Haverland of Temple; two sisters, Colleen Milliken and Debby Ewing; a brother, Donald Adkins; four grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel in Georgetown.
