BELTON — Services for Harold Morton, 53, of Belton will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Heartfield Funeral Home with Rev. Brian West officiating.
He died Sunday in Temple nursing home.
Mr. Morton was born on June 6, 1955 in Geissen, Germany to Harold Eugene and Susanna Cichuttek Morton. He had lived in Belton since 1960. He coached youth baseball in Belton from 1973 to 1997, taking teams to the state playoffs and winning state in 1995. He was an avid chess player and competed in tournaments around the area. He was parts manager for Big Three Auto Supply and Doyles Auto Supply for several years. He was a member of Southwest Baptist Church in Belton.
He is survived by his mother; one brother, Henry Morton of Belton and one sister, Brigette Minica of Belton.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers that memorials be make to the Belton Youth Baseball Association, 1011 N. Main, Belton, Texas 76513.
