KILLEEN — Robert “Bob” McCleary, 82, of Killeen died Sunday in a Temple hospital.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Central Texas State Cemetery in Killeen with full military honors.

Mr. McCleary was born on Jan. 25, 1926 in Marshall, Ill., to Robert and Bertha (Hamilton) McCleary. He served in the U.S. Army for more than 20 years, retiring as a major. After serving his country, Mr. McCleary worked for Yowell Lumber Yard as 20 years and was a carpenter.

He was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis McCleary.

Survivors include his children, two brothers, two sisters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen.
