CAMERON — Services for Thomas Joseph Jones, 58, of Cameron will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Doris Hargers-Williams officiating.
Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Cameron.
Mr. Jones died Friday, Aug. 1, at his home.
He was born June 21, 1950, to Thomas and Igloria Jones in Milam County. He attended schools in Cameron and graduated from C.H. Yoe High School. He married Elmorine Manners in 1969. He worked for Ralph Wilson Plastics (Wilson Arts), Alcoa Aluminum and for the Santa Fe Railway (BNSF) as a brakeman, conductor and locomotive engineer. He was an active member of Bethel AME Church, serving as church steward and supervising the upgrading of the church sanctuary.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years of Cameron; a son, Ronnie Hemphill; two daughters, Nichelle Roshone Jones of Cameron and Kimberly Diane Jones of Austin; a sister, Dorothy Guine of Cameron; and two grandchildren.
Dorsey-Keatts Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
