CAMERON — Services for George Russell Wilkins, 92, of Cameron, formerly of Fairfield will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron with the Rev. Gary Maroney officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Cameron.

Mr. Wilkins died Wednesday, Aug. 6, in a Temple hospital.

He was born July 7, 1916, to John Russell and Nannie Matthews Wilkins in Pacolet Mills, S.C. He married Dorothy Hatch. He was a retired flight service representative for the FAA. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cameron. He was preceded in death by his wife in 2002; and a son, John Wilkins.

Survivors include two sons, Bob Wilkins of Cameron and David Wilkins of China Springs; two sisters, Eloise Montgomery and Carolyn Valetine, both of Spartanburg; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
