Services for Renate Perlis, 81, of Temple will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, at St. Luke Catholic Church in Temple.

Burial will be 2 p.m. in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.

Mrs. Perlis died Thursday, July 31, at her home.

She was born Nov. 18, 1926, in Gottingen, Germany. She married Anthony Perlis on May 20, 1949, in Bremerhaven, Germany. She moved to Killeen in 1956. She worked for the KISD for more than 20 years as an elementary school library aide. She was preceded in death by her husband; and a son, Raymond Perlis.

Survivors include a son, Randy Perlis of Aurora, Colo.; a daughter, Linda Ward of Harker Heights; and five grandchildren.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
