ROCKDALE — Services for Donald McCoy, 79, of Milam County will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with the Rev. Doug Springer and the Rev. Calvin Springer officiating.

Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Mr. McCoy died Saturday, Aug. 9, in Rockdale.

He was born Nov. 24, 1928, in Tracy to Claude Hampton McCoy and Eunice Jewel Baird McCoy. He was self-employed long haul truck driver and farmer. He went to school in Sharp, hauled produce from the Rio Grande Valley to Canada and many northern states. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include three sons, Donnie McCoy of Fairfield, Ron McCoy, and John McCoy, both of Rockdale; a daughter, Catherine Praesel of Rockdale; two brothers, Floyd McCoy of Rockdale, and Charles McCoy of Thorndale; two sisters, Gloria Ebarb of Thorndale and Kaye Byland of Austin; and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
