Services for Victor Louis Simek, 71, of Rosebud will be 10 a.m. Monday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with the Rev. Sam Callaway officiating.

Burial will follow in North Belton Cemetery.

Mr. Simek died Tuesday, Aug. 12, in a Cameron hospital.

He was born May 15, 1937, to William Louis and Bertha Hrachovy Simek in Bell County. He married Eva Nell Elliott on Sept. 7, 1957, in Bell County. He was self-employed in the construction industry.

Survivors include his wife of Belton; two sons, Gary Don Simek of Bell County and Gregory Wayne Simek of Beaumont; a daughter, Vickie Lynn Simek of Temple; two brothers, Alfred Simek and Leroy Simek, both of Waco; two sisters, Vlasta Machalicek of Waco and Wilma Bane of Buckholts; and six grandchildren.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
