Services for Melissa Collier Smart, 37, of Columbus, Ga., will be 10 a.m. today at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple with Dr. Mark Labaj officiating.

Mrs. Smart died Friday, Aug. 8, at her home.

She was born Oct. 28, 1970, to Jack Collier and Dorothy Sefcik Collier in Temple. She graduated from Troy High School and Blue Mountain University in Mississippi. She earned a master’s degree from Baylor University in Waco.

Survivors include two daughters, Carly and Callen Smart, both of Columbus, Ga.; a brother, Brian Collier of El Paso; and her parents of Killeen.
