CAMERON — William Robert “Bob” Miller, 77, of Cameron died Saturday, Aug. 16, at his home.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Mr. Miller was born July 26, 1931, to Robert Lee and Gay Estep Miller in Philadelphia. He married Edna Myrle Angell in 1952. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of the Ben Hur Shrine in Austin, El Mina Shrine in Galveston, Masonic Lodges in Cameron and Texas City, a member of the Scottish Rite in Galveston, York Rite in Galveston, the SREKOJ Clown Unit in Austin, USS Zellers Naval Reunion Association, VFW Post No. 2010 and a Boy Scout leader.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years of Cameron; two sons, William R. Miller Jr. of Houston and Edward Eugene Miller of Texas City; a daughter, Lou Ann Mullins of Blanco; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
