ROCKDALE — Services for Herbert A. Hensley, 94, of Rockdale will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with the Rev. Rick Hertless officiating.

Burial will follow in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale.

Mr. Hensley died Saturday, Aug. 16, in a Taylor nursing home.

He was born Jan. 15, 1914, to William Harvey and Lela Agnes Burnett Hensley in Mexia. He married Jessie B. Baker on Sept. 29, 1929, in Mexia. He retired in 1969, from Wilson MFG. Company in Wichita Falls as a machinist. He was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Rockdale. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years on Jan. 8, 1988.

Survivors include a son, Lynn Carlett Hensley of Round Rock; a daughter, Josette Rabun of Knoxville, Tenn.; a sister, Mildred Soileau of Bridge City; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
