Services for Kirk Knittle, 52, of Temple will be held at a later date.

Mr. Knittle died Friday, Aug. 15, at his residence.

He was born Jan. 4, 1956, in Salina, Kan., to Francis Allison Knittle and Sally Lemon Knittle. He had been a resident of Temple for the past five years. He formerly served in the U.S. Air Force, and was employed in sales.

Survivors include a son, Kirk Allen Knittle of Dallas; a daughter, Leslie Marie Knittle of Dallas; his mother and stepfather, Sally and Bob Delaney of Temple; and a brother, Mark Allison Knittle of Fort Worth.

Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of arrangements.
