Donald R. Outland

MARLIN — Services for Donald “Duck” Ray Outland, 54, of Temple will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bibleway Family Worship Center in Marlin.

Burial will be in Rocky Hill Cemetery in Marlin.

Mr. Outland died Saturday, Aug. 16, in a Temple hospital.

He was born June 17, 1954, to Ulssas and Frankie Mae Outland in Marlin. He married Pamela Gail Byers on March 9, 1995, in Marlin. They moved to Temple in 2001. He was employed with Golden Years Nursing Home in Marlin in maintenance and with Marlin I.S.D. in maintenance for 12 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of Bibleway Family Worship Center in Marlin and served as a deacon.

Survivors include his wife of Temple; two sons, Gabriel Jackson of Comanche and Trenton Jackson of Temple; a daughter, Takira Byers of Waco; six brothers, John Outland, Lawrence Outland, and Michael Outland, all of Waco, Larry Outland of Long Beach, Calif., Ulssas Outland Jr. and Major Outland, both of Marlin; two sisters, Marie Washington and Mary Jo Jackson, both of Waco; and six grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Friday at Paul Funeral Home in Marlin.
