LAMPASAS — Services for Milvern King Ivey, 70, of Evant will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas.

Burial will follow in Long Cove Cemetery near Lometa.

Mr. Ivey died Tuesday, Aug. 19, in a Waco hospital.

He was born April 11, 1938, to Felix Milvern Ivey and Georgia Frances King Ivey in Temple. He married Marsha Gross on Sept. 15, 1972, in New Orleans. He was a professor of Music at Loyola University, Western Michigan University and The University of North Texas. He was a member of the American Chorale Directors Association and Texas Music Educators Association.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years of Evant.

Memorials may be made to the Department of Music at the University of North Texas in Denton.
