ROSEBUD — Mr. John Buel Bailey, 90, of Rosebud died Thursday, Aug. 21, at his home.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud with Dr. Carl Jennings Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery in Rosebud.
He was born Feb. 27, 1918, to Fred E. Bailey and Penny Stewart Bailey. He grew up in Rosebud. He served in World War II. He married Virginia Malcik on Nov. 8, 1941. He worked for Dow Chemical Company and retired after 35 years as an operator. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Rosebud.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years of Rosebud; two sons, Tommy Bailey of Georgetown and Ronnie Bailey of Nacogdoches; a daughter, Grace Miller of Huntsville; a brother, Fred E. “Buddy” Bailey of Rosebud; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
