Graveside services for Jewel Ross McGhee, 94, of Ennis will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Mountain Park Cemetery in Saint Jo with C.E. Cole officiating.

Mrs. McGhee died Wednesday, Aug. 20, in an Ennis nursing home.

She was born March 3, 1914, to John and Sarah Carmac Ross in Erath County in the Johnstown community. She graduated from the University of North Texas in Denton. She taught school and retired from Rice ISD. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Lawson McGhee in 1971.

Survivors include a son, James A. McGhee of Morgan’s Point Resort; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of arrangements.
