Services for Lillian J. Ponkoney, 79, of Bartlett, formerly of Temple, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Catholic Church in Temple with the Rev. Brian Eilers officiating.
Burial will follow at 2 p.m. in Holy Cross Cemetery in Granger with the Rev. Joseph Nisari officiating.
Mrs. Ponkoney died Thursday, Aug. 21, in a Temple hospital.
She was born Oct. 16, 1928, to John and Louise Krejci in Weir. She was educated at the Catholic School in Granger. She married Lee R. Ponkoney in 1947. She worked for many years as a server in many restaurants including Hill’s Café in Austin and Hallmark’s in Killeen. She retired in 1990 and was a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Matthews of Pflugerville; a brother, Daniel Kuban of Troy; two sisters, Angeline David of Waxahachie and Cecelia Carolyn Potter of Oklahoma City; and a granddaughter.

A rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Monday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple.
