Services for Melva J. Washburn, 73, of Temple will be 10 a.m. Monday in Bellwood Memorial Park with the Rev. Jakie Shirley officiating.

Mrs. Washburn died Thursday, Aug. 21, at her home.

She was born July 31, 1935, to Melvin and Earline Fielder in Brownfield. She graduated from Big Spring High School and attended Howard College. She married Howard Washburn on July 3, 1952. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1992; and a son, Brett Washburn in 1984.

Survivors include a son, Greg A. Washburn of Temple.

Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. today at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple.
