ROCKDALE — Services for Juanita Jackson, 91, of Salty will be 11 a.m. Monday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Dr. Bill Jones officiating.

Burial will follow in Salty Cemetery.

Mrs. Jackson died Friday, Aug. 22, in Georgetown.

She was born July 19, 1917, to W.L. and Betty Laird Moye in Warren. She was a 34-year resident of Salty. A retired nurse with more than 30 years of service, she worked at St. Mary’s Hospital in Port Arthur, Richards Memorial Hospital and Manor Oaks Nursing Home. She married Carlton Jackson Sr. on June 8, 1940, in Port Arthur. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years on March 1, 1991; and a son, Carlton Jackson Jr., on March 13, 2006.

Survivors include two sons, Reagan Jackson of Georgetown and Lynn Jackson of Corinth; a brother, Luther Moye of Warren; two sisters, Geraldine Burns of Frisco and Lavaun Gladden of Groves; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
