AUSTIN - The Temple Tem-Cats were swept by Class 5A No. 11 Round Rock Westwood 25-7, 25-7, 25-25 Tuesday night.

The Tem-Cats (8-11) had only nine kills in the entire match.

“It might sound crazy but our passing and defense were great tonight,” Temple coach Susie Hughlett said. “We just couldn’t terminate the ball when we needed to. On defense, we were digging a lot of balls but we just couldn’t finish anything.”

The Tem-Cats play at Lorena at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
