Services for Wayne “Jack” Frits, 89, of Temple will be 2 p.m. today at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with the Rev. Ernest Thompson and the Rev. James Lambert officiating.

Burial will be in Bellwood Memorial Park.

Mr. Frits died Sunday, Aug. 24, in The Woodlands.

He was born Jan. 28, 1919, in Temple to W.D. and Annie Lesikar Frits. He served in the U.S. Air Force from March 1942 until October 1948. He married Ellena Collier on Jan. 9, 1943. He was a member of East Highway Baptist Church and retired as a supply coordinator at the V.A. Hospital after 37 years of service.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Roy Wayne Frits of Garland; a daughter, Kathy Jean Wolff of The Woodlands; two brothers, Alton Frits of Temple and Daniel Frits of Belton; and four grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to East Highway Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
