ROCKDALE — Services for Loree Scroggins, 86, of Thorndale will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Mel Swoyer officiating.

Burial will be in Taylor City Cemetery.

Mrs. Scroggins died Sunday, Aug. 24, at her residence.

She was born Nov. 1, 1921, in Conoley Community to Ibra Paskal and Mellie Lou George Guthrie. She was a homemaker. She married W.F. Scroggins Aug. 15, 1938 in Taylor and he preceded her in death Oct. 18, 1991. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Eula Marie Scroggins, on June 26, 1945.

Survivors include a son, Bobby Scroggins of Thorndale; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
