CAMERON — Services for Cecie Nell Fikes Provazek, 76, of Cameron will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Oak Hill Cemetery in Cameron with Eugene VanNoord officiating.

Mrs. Provazek died Monday, Aug. 25, in a Rockdale nursing home.

She was born Jan. 12, 1932, to Ulrick and Ethel Edmonds Fikes in Milam County. Upon graduating from C.H. Yoe High School in 1949, she worked for PC Association in Cameron, and as a secretary and stenographer for the Texas Board of Cosmetology in Austin. She married Lionel “L.D.” Provazek on June 6, 1954, in Buckholts. She was a homemaker. They moved to San Jose, Calif., in December 1960. She was a member of and Sunday schoolteacher with Calvin Presbyterian Church in San Jose.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years of Cameron; two sons, Steven K. Provazek of San Jose and Darrell D. Provazek of Federal Way, Wash.; a daughter, Lisa DeAnn Provazek Glibas of Campbell, Calif.; a sister, Flora Mitcham Childs of Hubbard, two stepbrothers, Johnny Kamenicky of Grants Pass, Ore., and Albert Kamenicky of Temple; and six grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron.
