SALADO — Private services for Patricia Virginia Bryan, 84, of Temple will be Tuesday in Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple.
Mrs. Bryan died Tuesday, Aug. 26, in a Hewitt nursing home.
She was born Oct. 28, 1923, to Herbert Ainsley Stroup and Ida Belle McKinley Stroup in Tahoka. She attended school in Brownfield and married James Everett Bryan on Nov. 22, 1942. During World War II, she worked for the Red Cross and at Fort Knox. After the war, they returned to Texas and retired to Temple in 1984. She was a member of First Christian Church of Temple and was active in the Women’s Circle. She was also a member of the Temple Kiwanis Club. She was preceded in death by her husband.
Survivors include a son, Jay Bryan of Richardson; two daughters, Pat Ash of Tarzana, Calif., and Connie Bryan of Salado; and eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in her honor, 3429 Executive Center Drive Suite 100, Austin, Texas 78731.
Visitation will be 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Broecker Funeral Home in Salado.
