ROSEBUD — Services for Leon S. Portillo, 74, of Rosebud will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Anne Catholic Church in Rosebud with the Rev. Joseph Suncet officiating.

Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Rosebud.

Mr. Portillo died Wednesday, Sept. 3, in a Temple hospital.

He was born April 11, 1934, to Luis and Epiphania Santines Portillo in Rosebud. He lived in Rosebud most of his life. He married San Marcus Tobar on Sept. 4, 1956. He was a farmer and rancher and was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years of Rosebud; four sons, Phillip Portillo, Lupe Portillo, Julian Portillo and Christopher Portillo, all of Rosebud; four daughters, Juanita Covey of Temple, Angelina Jones, Regina Haley and Mary Augillon, all of Rosebud; a sister, Juanita Ballesteros of Waco; 27 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud.
