Graveside services for James Edward Moore, 62, of Temple will be 11 a.m. today in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen with the Rev. Ernest Thompson officiating with military honors.
Mr. Moore died Monday, Sept. 1, at his home.
He was born Jan. 9, 1946, to James Moore and Louiza Richmond in Caldwell. He received an associate’s degree in English from the College of DuPage in Glendale, Ill., in 1987. He served in the U.S. Army. His decorations include the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal.
Survivors include a son, Richard Moore of Bryan; three brothers, Eddie Richmond, Harry Richmond, both of Bryan and J.W. Richmond of Caldwell; five sisters, Joann Williams, Luella Williams, Janice Richmond, Josephine Mays, Annie Richmond, all of Caldwell; and his mother of Caldwell.
Branford/Dawson Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of arrangements.
