CAMERON — Services for Moses S. Salazar, 70, of Cameron will be 10 a.m. Monday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron with Albert Lara Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow in Hernandez Cemetery.
Mr. Salazar died Thursday, Sept. 4, in a Temple hospital.
He was born May 11, 1938, to Mike and Maria Santos Salazar in Cameron. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a retired compress worker. He was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Salazar.
Survivors include eight sons, Antonio Salazar, Sammie Salazar, Adam Salazar and Bennie Salazar, all of Cameron, Moses Salazar Jr. of San Antonio, Michael Salazar of Midland, Sylvester Salazar of Dallas and Ricardo Salazar of Waco; four daughters, Maggie Lara, Natalie Marquez, Angie Silvas, all of Cameron and Teresa Gonzales of Buckholts; two brothers, John Salazar and Charles Salazar, both of Cameron; five sisters, Mary Ruth Martinez and Paula Martinez, both of Temple, Josephine Sanchez of Cameron and Caroline Cortez of Rockdale; 29 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren.
A wake will be 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
