Surging Tem-Cats improve to .500

Temple beat Robinson 25-11, 25-18, 23-25, 25-20 on Friday night at Wildcat Gym to continue its steady improvement with District 12-5A play a week away.

Patti Kabobel had a team-leading 20 kills and six digs. Jordan Pickett had 18 kills, 20 assists and two aces. Shantae Hewins had nine kills, four digs and two aces. Kacie Easley had six kills and five digs. Ashley Schlieper had 22 assists.

“We had a really good week of practice,” coach Susie Hughlett said. “We’re hitting on all cylinders. We’re gaining more confidence day by day.”

Temple (14-14) plays at Gatesville on Tuesday then opens 12-5A play on Friday against Belton.
