Mr. David “Moon” Mullins, 43, of Temple died Saturday, Sept. 6, in a local hospital.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with the Rev. Boyd LeCheminant officiating.

He was born Aug. 22, 1965, to Jerry and Elizabeth JoAnne Bursey Mullins in Temple. In 1983, he graduated from Temple High School. He worked as an accountant for Mullins Business and Tax Service. He was a lifelong resident of Temple. He was a member of The Elks Lodge and the Temple Men’s Bowling Association.

Survivors include two sons, Alex Mullins and Kory Mullins of Temple; a daughter, A.J. Mullins of Temple; two sisters, Jeri Shaw of Temple and Tammy Mullins of Academy; his parents of Temple; and his grandparents, Louie and Mary Sindt of Temple.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a trust fund for Alex, Kory and A.J. Mullins at First State Bank of Central Texas.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
