BELTON — Services for Billie J. Cartwright, 85, of Killeen will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton with Dr. Randy Wallace officiating.

Burial will be in Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple.

Mrs. Cartwright died Saturday, Sept. 6, in a local nursing center.

She was born March 8, 1923, in Gatesville to Minnie Wittie and Joseph P. Calhoun. She graduated from Sharp High School in Bell County in 1941 and Draughns Business School in Waco. During World War II she was employed as a seamstress at Hawk and Buck Uniform Factory in Waco. She married Lonnie Cartwright Sr. on Oct. 31, 1952, in Belton and he preceded her in death. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church of Killeen.

Survivors include a daughter, Donna Eakin of Killeen; a son, Lonnie Cartwright Jr. of Kempner; a brother, James Calhoun of Emory; a sister, Joyce Ritchie of Houston; and five grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Building Fund, 802 North Second St., Killeen, 76541-4798.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
