BELTON — Mary M. Smith, 96, of Belton died Thursday, Sept. 11, in a Belton nursing home.
Services will be 9 a.m. Saturday at Dossman Funeral Home of Belton with the Rev. Judy Liljestrand officiating.
Burial will follow in North Belton Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith was born July 4, 1912, to Joe and Bennie Williams Lamar in Temple. She was both, a lifetime resident of Bell County and of the First Presbyterian Church in Belton. She was a founding member of the Belton Senior Center. She received a Volunteer of the Year award from the center and plays in the Sunshine Band. She was also a member of RSVP (the Retired Seniors Volunteer Program). She was preceded in death by her husband in 1971, and a son, George Kristinek in 1984.
Survivors include a son, Thomas E. Kristinek of Belton; a sister, Ruby Butler of Belton; a grandson; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 2500 Church Street, Belton, Texas 76513.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
